This policy explains what information katemhamilton.com collects, why and what you can do about it. The site is run by Kate Hamilton Consulting LLC, an Illinois limited liability company. When it says “I,” that’s me, Kate Hamilton.
What I collect
What you give me. When you fill out a form, book a call or sign up for my newsletter The Readout, I store what you share: usually your name and email, and sometimes your company, a message or your answers to booking questions. If you take the Stranger Test and ask for your results, I get your email, your score and your result band.
When you take The Stranger Test, the site keeps your answers and score without your name or email, to see how companies answer overall. If you ask for your results by email, HubSpot also keeps your email with them.
What your browser sends. Like most sites, this one records basic visit information: the pages you view, the site that sent you, your device and browser type, and an approximate location based on your IP address.
How I use it
- To reply to you and run the calls you book.
- To send The Readout, my newsletter, if you signed up or asked to be added. Every issue has an unsubscribe link.
- To send you the results you asked for, like your Stranger Test score.
- To understand which pages are useful, so I can make the site better.
I don’t sell your information, and I don’t share it with anyone for their own marketing.
The tools behind the site
A few services handle information on my behalf:
- HubSpot stores contact details and form submissions, runs the booking calendars and sends my email.
- Google Analytics measures site traffic.
- Google Workspace hosts my email, calendar and video calls (Google Meet).
- DreamHost hosts the site, and Bunny.net delivers its images and files quickly.
Each has its own privacy policy. Some older articles also show videos or slides from YouTube, Vimeo or SlideShare; those services may set their own cookies when they load.
Cookies
HubSpot and Google Analytics use cookies to recognize return visits and to connect a form you send with the pages you read beforehand. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, and the site still works without them.
How long I keep it
I keep contact details while we’re in touch, and for my business records after that. Newsletter subscribers stay on the list until they unsubscribe. Analytics data is kept under Google’s standard retention settings.
Your choices
You can unsubscribe from any email at any time with the link at the bottom. You can also ask me to show you what I have about you, correct it or delete it. Email hello@katemhamilton.com and I’ll take care of it.
Children
This site is for businesses, and I don’t knowingly collect information from anyone under 16.
Changes
If this policy changes, the new version goes on this page with a new date at the top.
