Poetic lullabies swim in our heads
as we rest in Mother Earth’s bed.
The dark shadow urchin blankets the sky
all are at peace while time passes by.
Dreams caress us while we are at ease.
Filling our heads with, hidden, dreadful deeds.
Promises to the heart, made to be broken.
As we get hopeful to obtain the unspoken.
The reserved soul singing for power,
during these silent and weary hours.
The hands of the clock become the night’s keeper
as absurd delusions within you sink deeper.
Imagination takes you on an enchanting ride
bringing forth hope just like the sad tide.
Soon the candy-coated paradise in our heads will decay
the conscious world will return each day.
The night blanket will turn into a spectrum
of light breaking through the black of the bedroom.
Glistening while eyes exposed to the blazing light
driving the bewildered out into sight.
