It’s true, I’ve been thwarted. I did not have enough yarn to finish the second Clessidra sock. So here I am, having to mix dye lots (the horror!) and wait for the last skein to arrive via post. This also means leftover yarn. Bah! Oh well, I guess I’ll just collect all the extra balls of fingerweight/sock yarn and make a hodge-podge creation.
So I’ll just have to switch to the second 9 to 5 socks while I wait for the Sisu yarn to arrive.
I’ve also spent another 40 minutes on my charity knitting hat. The SNBWB girls decided to spend the last 30 minutes of each meeting working on charity knitting projects. I’m trying to keep track of how long the hat takes me so I can figure out (a) how long it takes me to make a hat and (b) how much charity knitting I can churn out. This picture represents 1:10 (one hour and 10 minutes).
I’m also inspired to finally make the hat to match my Speckled Moss Scarf—my favorite scarf ever. Moving has kept me busy otherwise. I’m still packing and getting ready but I’m at a stand still so I can’t do much else. I get my keys this Thursday!! I’m getting pretty excited/nervous. Thus I continue to knit.
I haven’t watched many movies although I watched Adventures In Babysitting last night. Great movie. I also just found out that there’s an extended version of Dances With Wolves. It answers so many questions I’ve always had! Unfortunately the copy I had attained doesn’t have subtitles so I can’t understand any of the Native American characters. Blast!
